The Gans FFA Chapter has been actively involved in the community this fall. In November, chapter members showed their gratitude for veterans by placing flags on the gravesites of veterans at the Gans Town Cemetery.
Additionally, the Gans FFA officer team partnered with Gans Dollar General to help with community donations for a toy giveaway to lower elementary students in Gans. The chapter would like to express a big thank you to Dollar General and the community for their participation.
Another event the Gans FFA Chapter organized for the community was a welding and fabrication project to improve the Muldrow V.F.W. parking lot. Gans FFA members performed maintenance on the guardrails at the VFW Post, helping make it a more accessible and safe environment for local veterans.
Through this work, Gans FFA members gained real-world experience in the career fields they have chosen to pursue, while also giving back to the community.

When asked about their plans after graduation, the members shared the following:
Bryce Stevens said he plans to work in his family's commercial painting business. He hopes to gain experience in his chosen career and eventually own his own painting business.
Jaxon Ragsdale and Preston Bennett both hope to become professional welders and pursue careers in welding and fabrication.
Jessie Phillips plans to work with his dad in the excavation business while also helping his family with their cattle ranch. When asked how the FFA organization has helped him, Jessie's response was: “The FFA Organization has helped me learn many different qualities needed to possess a successful career. This includes anything from speech contests and land and pasture judging to metal fabrication.”
Advisor Dylan Woodruff is very proud of these four young men. While Mr. Woodruff cherishes the qualities and successes of all his students, he said of these four: “These students make it extremely rewarding to be a teacher. I have no doubt that they will go out into the world and do great things for themselves and others. They will make strong pillars of the future community.”
