Dear Gans Parent,
Because of some very generous donations, Gans Public Schools was able to supply each of our students with food boxes for Thanksgiving. Thanks to these same supporters, we are going to be able to supply our students with boxes for the Christmas season. On Friday, we will be handing boxes out in the old gym to parents of our students. Please enter the building through the main entrance between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm to collect your boxes.
We have so many people to thank for these donations and the organization of this project. Mr. Matt Jones from the Muldrow Activity Center, Mrs. Dannette Edwards, The Brent Fire Department, The Gans Fire Department, The Gans Dollar General Store, Hogan’s Salon, and so many other generous donors and volunteers.
The Christmas Program is Thursday night beginning at 6:00 pm. We hope that everyone can come out and watch our students perform and join in the Christmas Spirit.
Friday will be our last day of school until January 5th for the holiday. We hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas,
Regina Brannon

Next week is Christmas Spirit Week at Gans School and we aim to be stylish for the season! Here is your opportunity to rock your favorite Christmas gear! - Monday step out in Christmas socks the crazier the better. - Tuesday wear your ugly Christmas sweater, and if you want to, we will take your photo to flash to the audience before the Christmas program. We may even cheer for you! - Wednesday, top it off with a Christmas hat. Thursday wear green and represent Mr. Grinch! - Friday go all out in your favorite Christmas attire—but keep the dress code in mind!

Dear Gans Parents,
On Friday, November 21st, we will have our annual Thanksgiving Lunch. The cost for visitors will be $3.00 per person, with children under 3 eating for free. Gans students will eat for free as usual. The meal will begin at 10:30 am. All visitors will need to come through the main office entrance. Students must check out with their teacher if they leave with their parents or guardians after lunch.
Also, we will be giving away food boxes to ALL current Gans students’ parents or guardians on Friday. We have been blessed to receive so much help and support from donors and partners who have made our food drive a huge success. After you eat lunch, go to the old gym in the elementary building, tell the staff member who your child/children are, and receive your food box/boxes. You are not required to eat lunch to receive a box. Boxes will be handed out beginning at 10:30 am through 5:30 pm. Parents may come to school and check out a box during this time period. Adults must be present to check out boxes. Due to size and weight, food boxes WILL NOT be sent with a student or on buses. We are very happy to be able to provide this service to our families for the Thanksgiving Holiday. If you have any questions, feel free to call our office at 918-775-2236.
We hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break. School will be closed November 24th through the 28th. Students will return Monday, December 1st.
Sincerely,
Regina Brannon, Superintendent
